Rochelle Bucher - Convince Me

Since the release of her EP in 2003, fans have been clamoring for a full CD from Rochelle Bucher. The singer responds by releasing a full-length disc that should make her many more fans throughout this genre ... and beyond. A strong vocalist, Bucher has many songs here that work in quite a few different formats in addition to Country. Songs like " Convince Me " and " I Believe In You " would sound just as home on an Adult Contemporary station, but she's not afraid of a mainstream Country-sounding song, such as " Real Life To Me, " or the Pam Tillis / Jo Dee Messina sound of " You Give Me Everything. "

 

There are some very effective vocal performances here, like the heartbroken sound of " Life Goes On, " and the evocative "You Are So Good To Me. " I think that musical audiences might very well be good to her for years to come, once she settles on a direction of where she wants to take her music. The good thing about this is that she has many options, as she sounds great in any style!
